What is your Plan?

Dan. 1:8   “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”

Do you have a plan for growing in the Lord?  Very little  progress is made in the Christian life if we do not have a plan and purpose for serving the Lord, for growing in the Lord. The true child of God hungers and thirsts for God.  A true Christian has a desire to be able to serve the Lord.  To be able do anything for the Lord, we must have a plan; we must make a decision to serve God.   A college student, all through the long hours of study and preparing for tests keeps on because it is in that student’s plan to graduate.  The athlete wants to excel, so he must also have a plan of training and rigorous exercise to achieve His goal.  Do you have a spiritual goal?  Do you have something that  you purpose to do for the Lord?  Stick to your plan.  Strive to give your best to the Lord.  You will be happy and you will be blessed for it, and most of all, God will be honored.  And, if we live haphazardly, who suffers?  Not only ourselves, but also our families.  And, I believe a nation suffers when God’s churches lose their salt.  May the Lord help us to keep trudging on for Him!
